I like a full face touch screen, no actual buttons. I’m approaching 50 and need to make the text large enough to read, so resizable fonts would be nice. Having started with a palm many years ago, I prefer a stylus for text input, I can write on my phone as fast as I write on paper....!

I think that the rear of the device should have a beveled mosaic of playful shapes engraved in the back... but with smoothed corners like soft pebbles. Think bubble wrap with different shapes. It needs to be metal, perhaps black and super glossy. Think playful triangles squares and circles in a sophisticated black finish.

My next idea is hard to explain but try to understand it. The screen should be glass, and multitouch, like the iphone, but with one difference. You know the area on the iphone where the "Slide to unlock" dialogue appears? The glass there should be engraved like a shallow halfpipe (think the curve of a parenthesis) so that it not only creates a groove for your finger, but magnifies the LCD screen underneath. This area of the device could display buttons as well as information. It would give the device an organized feel because it would have a single section of touchscreen dedicated to it's own special functions. Also, the magnifying effect would both help the user read the text there and look super cool.
